About Me
Francine Sagona MS, OTR/L
I am an experienced occupational therapist bringing a decade of experience and a deep passion for helping adults and children thrive. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Disabilities Studies from the University of Delaware, and went on to complete my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient settings, schools and home care, giving me a well-rounded perspective on how to support adults and children across different environments. I have also developed and led social skills programs for ages 4 years to 13 years old. I value strong collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create consistent, supportive care.
I utilize a neurodiversity-affirming approach in all of my sessions—celebrating each child’s individual strengths while supporting their unique challenges in a respectful, empowering way. I have completed advanced training in therapeutic yoga, executive functioning, and strategies to support children with anxiety and ADHD. In addition, I hold a Sensory Integration Certificate from the University of Southern California (USC), enhancing my ability to address sensory and regulation needs.
A meaningful part of my sessions is working alongside my therapy dog, Bonnie, who helps children with emotional regulation, sensory processing, and motivation to participate in daily activities in a calming and playful way. I have completed an animal-assisted certification course to ensure you receive the best experience.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my growing family and continuing to learn and evolve both personally and professionally.
